There is much speculation as to whether the plans to build a hydropower project on the Colorado River will not affect the general view of the surrounding area. Environmental experts expect that the dams will change the colour and flow of water and possibly flood out a Hopi cultural site.

Should the US want to achieve global climate goals, there would be a massive need to move past its dependence on fossil fuels.
